    Abstract

The cornerstone of our fundraising campaign for TIME was the Dreams Take TIME Halloween Festival, held on October 31 in the Science Quad on the Bucknell campus. Participants paid an entry fee to enjoy face painting, cornhole, snacks and candy, pumpkin painting, comedy routines performed by members of Bucknell’s comedy club, a costume contest, spikeball, and music. We also ran a social media fundraiser, which comprised Instagram Bingo Boards shared by the company members on their Instagram feeds and a Givebutter page. In all, we were able to provide $2,300 so that TIME can continue to provide their varied and vital services to the Milton community. Dreams Take TIME was privileged to work with The Improved Milton Experience (TIME) this semester. Days before we were set to begin construction on a music studio for the teenagers of TIME, the organization’s executive director was notified that the Americans with Disabilities Act was going to require TIME to install an elevator; the only suitable location was right where the music studio had been planned. We pivoted successfully, cleaning out an old auction house that TIME had acquired and that will soon become a business incubator. We were still able to build connections with the TIME teens through hosting a fun event where all of us painted canvases and old vinyl records (found in the auction house) to decorate their future music studio.
